Joey is an idea that I've been mulling over for years – to create beautifully sculpted ornaments for everyday enjoyment and festive occasions. With classical forms and vibrant colour. I've been creating large scale sculptures for more than a decade; and have now shifted my focus to small works and even smaller jewellery pieces that capture the love I have for animals of all shapes and sizes. My first range is centred on the koala, which suffered so sadly during the Black Friday bushfires, here in Australia. The sculptural form that I have created captures a moment of seated contemplation – my little koala buddha.
